I am a Technology Specialist focused on making Microsoft 365 security work in the real world.

My route into tech was not a straight line. I have been a golf-course gardener, flipped burgers at McDonald’s, opened a pub at 23, worked in Apple Support in Ireland, and spent time in digital marketing before moving into technology. I am a multipotentialite. I like learning widely, connecting ideas, and making difficult things feel understandable.

Today I focus on Microsoft Entra ID, Defender XDR, Purview, Intune, Zero Trust, and the human side of security adoption. I follow the changes, test the features, and turn security and compliance into something that admins and end users can actually use.

I write about architecture, deployments, wrong assumptions, lessons learned, and the operational details that security frameworks often leave out. These are field notes from the Microsoft 365 security battlefield: what worked, what did not, and what I would do differently next time.

I also share practical cybersecurity guidance for parents and families, because safer digital habits should not be limited to enterprise environments.

I have learned from mentors, clients, mentees, kind people, and a few difficult characters. No bodies under the rug, just lessons. I try to smooth rough edges with kindness, curiosity, and a little Max Richter.
